Nick has spent the majority of his career working in the radio industry, initially in programming and then moving to digital radio and technology innovation. He was integral to the launch and growth of DAB digital radio, and has developed other technology led innovations for the radio industry.

Nick has consistently championed to reduce the costs of DAB Digital Radio, becoming involved with the Open Digital Radio project, helping several Small Scale DAB trials in the UK, and co-founding Muxnet UK to provide permanent deployments of low cost DAB.

Nick is also the founder and Project Director of RadioDNS Hybrid Radio, the international not-for-profit membership organisation that develops technology to seamlessly combine broadcast radio and IP connectivity. RadioDNS is being adopted enthusiastically by manufacturers and broadcasters looking to deliver a better experience of radio.

In addition to leading the RadioDNS project, Nick runs his own technology consulting agency, Radiate Ideas, which has undertaken a wide range of innovation and transformation projects in industries beyond radio as diverse as aviation, virtual office services and with NGOs in countries across Europe and North America.
