We are delighted to welcome the following speakers to the line-up for Radiodays Asia Virtual: Gemma Fordham, Head, Hit Network, Australia Gemma’s experience in the entertainment industry spans over 20 years having first set out in radio when she landed a job at 2DayFM Sydney. Eventually, she ventured into producing for Ugly Phil & Jackie O and became EP for the incredibly successful Morning Crew with Wendy Harmer and Peter Moon. Four years later she headed across to the UK to produce Jonathan Coleman’s breakfast show in London. Returning to Australia, for a very brief stint, as Content Director for Channel V with XYZ Music Channels, Gemma was offered a role in the US with Nicole Kidman. Gemma worked with Ms Kidman for 8 years, initially as her EA and Chief of Staff and then developing films as a Producer and Creative Officer for Blossom Films, Ms Kidman’s production company. Eventually, she returned to Australia and was Content Manager and Executive Producer for the Kyle and Jackie O show, during this time the duo received their highest ratings to date. Three years later, Gemma moved to New Zealand as Chief Content Officer for NZME, running 6 national radio networks and entertainment properties for the group. Returning to Australia in 2015 as Head of Content for the Hit Network, Gemma has become known for her ability to attract new talent and implement content strategies for audience growth. Now as Head of the Hit Network, the supportive environments she crafts for her on-air shows and programming teams across the country is what’s attracted some of the best in the business to the Hit Network. Gemma has won several ACRA awards, is a recipient of the Telstra Victorian Corporate Business Woman of the Year (2017) and holds her Masters in Business Administration from Melbourne University. Gemma is a Non Executive Director for Carrie Bickmore’s charity ‘Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer’. Gemma loves travel and is a mother of 2 young boys. Alex Agishev, Head of Content, Virgin Radio Dubai, Dubai Alex’s career has spanned more than 30 years from on air to various management roles across Australia, Europe and the MENA region. Alex was a successful On Air Broadcaster and Programmer on all the major FM Networks in Australia for more than 20 years on stations such as Triple M Sydney, WS FM, Nova FM, B105 and SA FM. At the Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAS) he’s won multiple awards including Best Music Director, Best Sports Event Coverage and Best Radio Promotion. In 2012 he left Australia for a traveling adventure and ended in Moscow to follow his dream of working in the country of his origin. He was the Group Content Consultant and Content Director for Multi Media Holding, working with the teams at Nashe Radio, Rock FM and Best FM on content and digital strategies. 2014 saw Alex offered the opportunity to be Head Of Content at Virgin Radio Dubai and since that time has led the team to record ratings and revenue. Virgin Radio Dubai is the most successful station in the Virgin Radio International Group and the number one station in Dubai for 9 consecutive surveys attracting over 1 million listeners nationally each week. He was responsible in launching Virgin Radio’s digital brands Virgin Radio Beat and Virgin Radio Chill and is part of the core leadership team that organizes the regions largest and most successful music festival, Virgin Radio RED FEST DXB. Brian Gallagher, Chief Sales Office, Southern Cross Austereo, Australia Brian has over 30 years’ experience in the broadcast and digital media industries, from advertising sales to developing video content production business’s. He has focused his career on the successful intersection of content and brand storytelling. Brian has led the successful development of brand integration strategy and workflow for broadcasters and production companies which led to him to build a successful brand funded television programming business. In his current role as Chief Sales Officer at SCA he enjoys driving business growth for the many major advertisers and SME’s that SCA support via Australia’s largest network of Radio, TV and Digital, by driving a passion for ‘great ideas inspired by insight’ across the team. Peter Charlton, CEO, Nova Entertainment, Australia Peter Charlton was appointed as NOVA Entertainment’s Chief Executive Officer in November 2020. Having joined NOVA Entertainment in August 2012 as Group Sales Director, in August 2016 he took on the additional role of acting Chief Operating Officer and in December his additional responsibilities were reflected with the new title of Group Commercial Officer. In May 2018 he was promoted to Chief Commercial Officer and in November 2020 was appointed as CEO of NOVA Entertainment.Peter has an impressive media and sales career with a wealth of experience and a strong sales track record. He joined NOVA Entertainment from Adshel, where he held the position of Sales Director for Australia and NZ since November 2010. Originally working in magazines, Peter got his start in radio at Capital Radio London as an Agency Group Head, a position he held for three years. He joined GWR Group as National Sales Director in 1997 and was involved with the launch of digital radio in the UK during his eight years with the company. In July 2005 he became Sales Director for the leading outdoor company CBS Outdoor pioneering the introduction of digital screens in London and in late 2010 moved to Australia to join Adshel.
