SPEAKER ANNOUNCEMENT: Emily Kwong, Jake Abdullah and Shah Hayatudin

We are delighted to make our first speaker announcement for RDA24 – the first of many exciting announcements about Radiodays Asia, which is already looking to be even bigger and better than last year.

We welcome the following speakers to the fantastic line-up of radio, audio and podcast experts:

Emily Kwong is the founding reporter and co-host of Short Wave, the Ambie®-winning science podcast from NPR. She is also the host of Inheriting, an 8-part narrative podcast about Asian American and Pacific Islander families. Before joining NPR, Kwong was a reporter at KCAW, a community radio station in Sitka, Alaska. Her work earned multiple awards from the Alaska Press Club and Alaska Broadcasters Association.

Shah Hayatudin has an impressive 20-year track record spanning both Malaysia and Australia. Known for his contributions to a diverse range of breakfast shows in the two countries, and with a core background in radio production and imaging, Shah has consistently delivered top-tier broadcasting experiences. As Group Network Director at Media Prima Audio, Shah’s strategic vision and leadership play a pivotal role in shaping the future of radio content and how to evolve content to suit the current climate of different audiences.

Jake Abdullah, author, speaker and a stalwart in the Malaysian media and entertainment sector with a career spanning over three decades, is recognized for his exceptional ability to transform and elevate organisations. As Strategy Advisor at Media Prima Audio Datuk Jake Abdullah’s strategic vision and transformative leadership style continue to contribute significantly to the company’s success.
